Skate and Create

As you all know and if you dont I plan on starting a small company called Blair hess project which will feature my art work on skateboards . I hope to have the store up and running on June 21st go skateboarding day. WWW.BlairHessProject.com  also please like my page on face book as well .

I just got done with painting this tile that will be at Tiaunna Flats in Boca Raton off palmetto and powerline road if you eat there look up it should be up in couple days :)

I will be in the Artheart event in Jan. Dont miss out pro skater/artist Steve Caballero will be there signing autographs and showing his art. There will be a skate contest as well so be there or be square . After this event there will be an after party at Greenroom with more art displayed from the artists. Help us raise some money for a great cause.

Skate deck art start to finish!

 As a skateboarder I sleep, eat ,dream and work am always have skateboarding on my mind. Even in my art it is coming through. Who would of thought today I would be using my old decks to make art with. Frst I come up with something I want to do or paint which in this case I have been watching old Scooby Doo cartoons so The witch doctor villan is what I got stoked on to do. Second i find a bunch of old use deck pieces and gather them in a pile and see what i have that I can use to make the project with. Once I see what I have I will draw an outline of the shape I want to cut out of the deck parts. I then take a jigsaw and proceed to cut the outlined decks into the shapes of the project. Once I have them cut out I start aranging them into the Witch doctor If iI need to adjust or recut anything I do that before I screw them together. Once I have an idea where they go I number them so I know where they will be placed also I take a quick photo of said arrangement just in case something gets moved. Then start painting the pieces and Bam finished product.
