I will be in the Artheart event in Jan. Dont miss out pro skater/artist Steve Caballero will be there signing autographs and showing his art. There will be a skate contest as well so be there or be square . After this event there will be an after party at Greenroom with more art displayed from the artists. Skate deck art start to finish!

 As a skateboarder I sleep, eat ,dream and work am always have skateboarding on my mind. Even in my art it is coming through. Who would of thought today I would be using my old decks to make art with. Frst I come up with something I want to do or paint which in this case I have been watching old Scooby Doo cartoons so The witch doctor villan is what I got stoked on to do. Second i find a bunch of old use deck pieces and gather them in a pile and see what i have that I can use to make the project with. Once I see what I have I will draw an outline of the shape I want to cut out of the deck parts. I then take a jigsaw and proceed to cut the outlined decks into the shapes of the project. Once I have them cut out I start aranging them into the Witch doctor If iI need to adjust or recut anything I do that before I screw them together. Once I have an idea where they go I number them so I know where they will be placed also I take a quick photo of said arrangement just in case something gets moved. Then start painting the pieces and Bam finished product.

Monsters,Robots&Rayguns haunted art show

Whats up everyone its been awhile I have been so busy with artshows and work that I have been slagging on updating this but here it goes. First off I just got some interviews in Truesk8boardmag.com check em out also we just drop a small promo for "Truth Hurts" dvd that true mag is coming out with in 2013. Yours truly came up with the name and was stoked they used the name and this image for one of the promos . Also I  will be taking a break from art shows to focus on one big one oct 6th at the bubble which I am calling Monsters,Robots and Rayguns haunted house art show. Which will be a blast. I hope all will be able to attend. It will be a themed event with ideas from horror, and sci fi aliens and robots .

Just saw the new spiderman last night it is worth the money for sure . the story,special effects were awesome . I had my doubts but they redeemed the spiderman legacy for sure.

Vans do something tour at Vans Galleria

This past wed at the Vans store in Galleria mall my friend Erin let me know that pro skaters Barbee ,Cardiel,the artist Pnut,and the Mattson2 were gonna be in the store . What an awesome time they did a jam and Cards was the dj. Pnut was drawing art on patches and giving them out after Barbee,Tim and Callie got a private shesh at Ramp 48 to end the night peep some the pics

Today gots some events going on

Whats up today at the Vans store in Galleria mall ft lauderdale pro skater Ray Barbee & Cardiel are  going to be jammin out at the store cant wait should be awesome. Tonight at Respectables is the Star Trek art show . If your a trekkie make sure you dont miss it. I have seen some of the art that is gonna be in it and its awesome . Tommorow dont forget its go skateboarding day there will be a best trick in the bowl at Ramp 48 so come out and have some fun and shred the gnar.

Transitions art show june 30th

Transitions artshow at the circus bowl June 30th . there will be open skate for 5bucks then they will close the bowl and hang up the art for the show inside the bowl which will be sick.The art show will start at 7pm

Reissue decks are fun

I like the fact they do reissue sk8 decks and trying tricks on them. I started doing backside one foot 180s on my regular board again. so for slasher sunday i decided to try it on this old school Ray Barbee . I had alot of fun doing them.

Fat Village art event

What up I hit up the Fat village art walk this morning before I went to work . Its a pretty cool scene going on there. Food trucks,art ,Pop up stores Mikey djing . Was cool I wish I could of stay when there was alot more people would of been much more fun then going to work.Here some pics that I took.

Capt's Fleet yeah boyyyyyyyyy!

Through out the years you tend to build a fleet of skateboards as a skateboarder. All made to get you through different scenerials. Any good skateboarder should be able to skate any one of them at any minute cause you never know when you come up to a spot you wish you had your regular board with. The best part is when you are shredding your retro board and kids are like you can do flips on that and I just laugh at that question everytime thinking how narrow minded todays skaters are sometimes.

Star Trek art show June 20th

For all you Star Trek fans Art Nouvea is puting on a Star Trek themed art show which will be June 20th @ respectables cafe. If you have ever been to one of there themed events you know what im talking about if not you should make this one because it will be a blast .

LurkMode Squad limited tshirt design

For those who have skated a long time you remember the Elephant skate tool . pretty much sucked but thats what we had back in 89' lol.  The wrench part didnt fit shit just the 2 open ended socket type ends . the stupid flat head part which never fit anything pretty much most used and most useless tool. It was used for rollar skates as well . So it brought me to make  this design for some limited Lurk Mode squad gear soon to come out. I kept thinking all the years of skating and what could I come up with as a design for a pocket tshirt. Hence thie elephant key just came to mind. I have no idea why but it made me think back to when I first started skating and how that was my first official skate tool. "Key to success" was just what it was you needed it to get shit done when working on yo ride.

Let lurk mode squad begin

Lurk mode squad is something I have come up with. There is alot of times when I am out skating and you see the craziest things going on such as crazy drunks,drug deals ,shady people or it could just be all the strange spots we skate which make us look like we are lurking which in a sense we are. Hanging out for sometimes hours skating a spot where people who are walking or just driving by think we are just lurkers. So be on the lookout for random signs that we been skating there you never know that normal spot that you always hang out could of been skated on.

Sticker Mania

This is my bedroom door. Crazy how many skate stickers I have collected throughout the years. These stickers can tell a whole history without saying a word. Just by what is printed on them and how artistic some are. They can also define what style or how I felt at the time. I could of been in many phases at the time of purchase. Hesh, metal, hip hop fresh, or any other phase of my skateboard years.
