Whats up heres griptape yellow submarine art that i did for this past Artheart show. Speaking of Artheart Jan 21st @ rocket town Art Heart has asked me to help out with the skateboarding aspect of the show .I am so honored to have been asked to help out to raise money for kids. So look for updated stuff that will be happening at this event. Hopefully maybe some pro skaters might swing by who knows.

Another day in Florida and one more day till the Jetsetter art show in west palm @ the lounge. Hopefully weather permitting it will be an awesome show. Come out and support the local artist all of which are amazing.

Whats up it has been a bit since the last entry. Artheart just past what an amazing event it was. I had alot of good feed back on the new pieces i did which stoked me out for sure . All the other artist had amazing work hanging at Greenroom. I decided to do skateboard deck art for this show. Two of them I did art painted on griptape which if you ever painted griptape its just like painting on sandpaper nice and bumpy. The third I did a mix of my photos and then put clear griptape over it. The last i decided to get a little creative and do picture boxes of photos I have taken. I think I wanted people to be able to touch my art and feel the texture to get an idea of what things are used to make art. I hate going to art shows and thinking whats that made of and wanting to feel the texture . curiosity in me wants to touch art so yep i had to make some that you could touch.

july 2nd event im putting on with the city

I know its short notice. Im helping the city put on a skate event to help keep the teen center in deerfield so we need at least 100 people to show up. We are going to have some rails and boxes a kicker and possibly a bank. It should be fun. Plus we are going to do tarp surfing as well. So come out and support the sk8 scene and this event so we can do another like it.

The skateboarding world has lost a great skater and friend of mine. Manny Sanchez aka Spitfire Manny. One of the coolest and well liked guys I know . Always down to sk8 and we would always have epic games of skate. Manny was og bc team rider and one of the first people that I met when I started ska8ing Miami. He was a great friend and I will miss our games of sk8. Rest in piece my friend you will be missed.

Month of April gonna be a great month

April is gonna be a great month . Two big art shows that I am a part of ArtHeart which is April 2nd and Amigo Skate Cuba april 16th . Both I am part of which I am using my skateboarding art to help raise money for these events. I will have flyers for both soon so keep an eye out. Finally I am a proud owner of one of these a little beat up but graphic still great. Thanks to Brett for trading me and letting us skate the ramps was fun for sure. So I have been up late every night trying to get my art ready for ArtHeart coming april 2nd hopefully you all can come by and support the local scene. Being super tired I still end up getting up early and throwing in a skate dvd before I head to work. I swear I eat,sleep, live skateboarding maybe I should have this checked out haha. Hopefully it doesn't rain after I get off work so I can get a shesh in. Take care everyone and have a great day.

UrbanPop art classes

Urban Pop classes are happening, make it a point to attend.Ruben Ubiera is a great artist and takes everyday items and makes it into great art. He is prob one of my favorite local artist,skateboarder,and good friend. Ruben will inspire you and make you think out of the box and back in. If you get a chance sign up for his class it will be worth it I promise.

Taking photos

So I was skating around downtown Miami taking random photos when I get stopped by an undercover for taking photos. Ha I said after i made him show id "why you stop me" he said cause I been taking photos around the city. Hmmm I asked did you check any of the other people that were taking photos of buildings also. What you think the answer was ? The officer said yes pssst yeah right cause i was skating around and was taking multiple pics and it was strange to him thats why. I Think he was cool about it but really to say he checks anyone else is bullcrap. I do however thank him for doing his job and making sure the city is safe from crazed skateboarders taking photos. I poke a little fun at it, but I do think he was trying to keep the city safe and Im glad he was doing his job so mad respect to him!

Got back from the 80's jam at surf expo that was awesome. All the skaters were skating old school boards just rippin. Hawk, Mcgill,Hosoi,Stratten,Lake,Mcdonold were just killen it. Mark Lake was going off was super amped. If expo has that again i will be there for sure it was such a good thing to see live. Art events for this month that I will be having art in :Jan 15th @ Bubble------Jan 29th ArtHeart @ pompano citi centre so don't miss out I will be displaying some new work.

Quicksilver 80's sk8 jam this friday at surf expo

Whats up, can't wait for this friday to hit up surf expo. Quicksilver is putting on an 80's vert jam where all the pro's like Hawk,Hosoi,Mcgill and others dress up like how they used to look in the 80's and ride old school decks on the vert. Thrashin all over again Lol. Should be a blast. Hope to see u up there enjoying it like I will. Hopefully i will have some pics for you to see when I get back.
